CLASSES IN OLD SAYBROOK

DREAMWEAVER I
Monday (4 weeks) 6:30-8:30 starting September 17, 2007 at Old Saybrook High School
Design great looking web pages with Dreamweaver. You will learn how to build and publish a 5-page website using tables complete with navigation, links and graphics. Plus, you will get design tips for a striking homepage and how-tos for different navigation choices. The class wil also cover optimizing images for the web and using the built-in FTP.

DREAMWEAVER II-Project
Monday (4 weeks) 6:30-8:30 starting October 22, 2007 at Old Saybrook High School
Take your skills from Dreamweaver I and use it to create your own website. Plan your own design and assemble your site using Dreamweaver. Weekly group question and answer sessions, plus individual help will facilitate your project's success.

PHOTOSHOP BASICS
Tuesdays (4 weeks) starting October 2, 2007 at Old Saybrook High School
In this 4 week class you will get to know the work area, all the tools available, inlcuding the file browser so you can keep your photos organized, ranked and sorted. You will also learn to make basic photo corrections that improve the quality of photographic images, how to resize, retouch, crop and straighten photos. Finally you will work with layers and selections-combining selection tools to create graphic art using multiple images or photographs. |
ADVANCED PHOTOSHOP
Tuesdays (4 weeks) starting October 30, 2007 at Old Saybrook High School
The class will review all tools and commands from Photoshop Basics class for profiency at that level. Students will then learn advanced layering techniques including importing layers from other files, working with type and applying filters to createe several planned projects including a photo collage. Optimizing photos and images for the web and batch processing will also be covered. |
COMPUTER AND INTERNET BASICS
Tuesday (2 weeks) 6:30-8:30 starting September 18, 2007

Learn the tips and tricks of successful online marketing including the basics of Search Engine Optimization and Registration.
